Strategic Account Manager – FSO & Clearance Services
As ISI continues to grow its FSO &  Clearance business and strengthen long-term client partnerships across the government contracting community, we are seeking a relationship-driven and highly organized Strategic Account Manager – FSO & Clearance Client Services to join our growing team. This role will serve as a trusted advisor and primary relationship manager for a portfolio of FSO & Clearance clients, helping ensure exceptional customer experience, long-term retention, operational alignment, and strategic growth opportunities across ISI’s service offerings.
This position is designed to help evolve ISI’s FSO & Clearance organization from a task-oriented compliance support model into a proactive partnership-driven experience focused on relationship development, client advocacy, operational coordination, business growth support, and strategic advisory engagement. The ideal candidate will be highly personable, proactive, operationally minded, and comfortable engaging directly with executives, Facility Security Officers (FSOs), operations leaders, and business owners across the government contracting community.
The Strategic Account Manager – FSO & Clearance Client Services will work closely with operations, compliance, customer support, sales, and executive leadership teams to improve customer satisfaction, identify expansion opportunities, support retention efforts, and strengthen ISI’s overall partnership model.
This role will report directly to the company President.

Duties/Responsibilities:
Client Relationship Management
  • Serve as the primary relationship manager and strategic point of contact for a portfolio of FSO & Clearance clients.
  • Conduct proactive client engagement meetings to better understand client priorities, operational challenges, business goals, compliance initiatives, and growth strategies.
  • Build and maintain long-term executive and operational relationships with client stakeholders including owners, executives, FSOs, operations personnel, and program leadership.
  • Act as a trusted advisor and client advocate internally within ISI.
Customer Experience & Client Advocacy
  • Monitor overall client satisfaction and proactively identify opportunities to improve customer experience, communication, responsiveness, and service delivery.
  • Escalate and coordinate resolution of client concerns with internal service delivery, compliance, support, and leadership teams as needed.
  • Conduct periodic business reviews and “Voice of Client” conversations to gather feedback and identify operational improvement opportunities.
  • Help maintain high client retention rates and improve long-term partnership value.
Growth & Cross-Selling Support
  • Identify opportunities for service expansion, cross-selling, and strategic alignment across ISI offerings including:
    • FSO & CLEARANCE / FSO Support
    • Security Control (SeccON)
    • CMMC Services
    • MSP / IT Services
    • Compliance Support
    • Advisory Services
  • Partner closely with Sales and FSO & Clearance leadership regarding growth opportunities within existing client accounts.
  • Assist clients in identifying future operational, compliance, and growth-related needs where ISI may provide additional value.
Strategic Partnership & Industry Support
  • Support ISI’s evolving partnership-driven FSO & Clearance strategy by helping clients navigate growth, compliance, recruiting, teaming, and operational challenges.
  • Facilitate strategic networking opportunities, introductions, and relationship-building efforts across ISI’s government contractor ecosystem where appropriate.
  • Help identify recurring client pain points, operational trends, and service opportunities that may influence future ISI offerings or initiatives.
Internal Coordination & Operational Alignment
  • Coordinate closely with FSO & Clearance operations teams, customer support personnel, compliance teams, sales leadership, and executive management to ensure alignment around client priorities and service expectations.
  • Track client activity, relationship notes, strategic opportunities, risks, and engagement history within CRM and operational systems.
  • Assist in onboarding coordination, operational handoffs, renewal readiness, and ongoing account health management.
  • Provide leadership visibility into client health, retention risks, operational concerns, and strategic opportunities.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Support development of scalable client engagement processes, relationship management standards, and customer success initiatives.
  • Help improve operational consistency, communication workflows, and client-facing documentation.
  • Other duties may be assigned by management as business needs evolve.

Qualifications:
  • United States Citizenship required.
  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience in:
    • Account Management
    • Customer Success
    • Client Services
    • Business Development
    • FSO & CLEARANCE / MSP / GovCon relationship management
    • or related client-facing roles.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build trust and maintain long-term client relationships.
  • Comfortable engaging directly with executives, business owners, and operational stakeholders.
  • Highly organized with strong follow-through and ability to manage multiple client relationships simultaneously.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to coordinate cross-functional operational support.
  • Ability to operate in fast-paced, growth-oriented environments with evolving priorities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and client tracking/documentation processes.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience supporting government contractors, FSOs, cleared environments, or compliance-focused organizations.
  • Familiarity with:
    • DCSA processes
    • Facility Clearances (FCL)
    • Personnel Security
    • CMMC
    • NIST 800-171
    • MSP / FSO & CLEARANCE environments
    • Government contracting operations
  • Previous experience within:
    • Managed Security Services (FSO & Clearance)
    • Managed Service Providers (MSP)
    • GovCon consulting
    • Compliance or security-related service environments.
  • Experience conducting executive business reviews, strategic account planning, or customer retention initiatives.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce, Halo, Security Control (SeccON), or related client management platforms.
