ISI Enterprises is a specialized Managed Service Provider (MSP) and Registered Provider Organization (RPO) serving the U.S. Defense Industrial Base (DIB). ISI assists DoW (DoD) contractors in achieving and maintaining compliance with DFARS 252.204-7012, NIST SP 800-171 Rev 2/3, and CMMC by delivering integrated Managed IT, Cybersecurity, and Compliance services.

The Pre-Sales Engineer bridges the gap between customer needs and ISI’s technical and compliance solutions. You’ll collaborate with the Sales team to conduct discovery sessions, analyze technical and compliance requirements, and translate findings into actionable Statements of Work (SOWs) and proposals.

This role is ideal for someone who understands both the technical and business sides of the MSP world, someone who can confidently scope managed IT, cybersecurity, and compliance engagements in regulated environments.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Partner with Sales Executives to support discovery calls, identify business drivers, and assess the customer’s IT and compliance posture.
  • Develop detailed Statements of Work (SOWs) outlining scope, deliverables, assumptions, risks, and required customer responsibilities for new projects and ongoing managed services.
  • Create accurate scoping documents for environments including on-prem, cloud, and hybrid infrastructures.
  • Present technical solutions that align with NIST 800-171, CMMC 2.0, and DFARS 7012 requirements using ISI’s Managed IT, Security, and Compliance offerings.
  • Document user counts, asset inventory, and cloud environments to ensure precise pricing and compliance boundaries.
  • Translate discovery findings into proposals with clear value statements and technical accuracy.
  • Support RFP/RFI responses and compliance assessments through detailed technical writing and solution justification.
  • Collaborate with engineering, compliance, and PMO teams to confirm delivery feasibility before proposal submission.
  • Stay current on updates to NIST SP 800-171 Rev 3, CMMC 2.0, Microsoft 365, and Azure Gov toolsets.

Qualifications:
  • United States Citizenship is required for this position.
  • 3+ years of experience in a Pre-Sales, Sales Engineering, or Solutions Architect role at an MSP or IT consulting organization.
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft 365 (GCC or GCC High preferred), Azure, and modern endpoint management.
  • Proven experience writing and structuring Statements of Work (SOWs) and scoping technical projects.
  • Familiarity with networking, virtualization, cloud security, and compliance frameworks (NIST 800-171, CMMC, DFARS).
  • Strong documentation, proposal writing, and communication skills, able to translate technical tasks into business-level outcomes.
  • Comfortable leading discovery sessions with both executives and IT personnel.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple concurrent opportunities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Hands-on familiarity with tools such as Microsoft Intune, Defender XDR, Purview, Sentinel, and Entra ID.
  • Experience preparing SSP and POA&M documentation or working alongside compliance assessors.
  • Knowledge of virtualization (Hyper-V, VMware) and AWS GovCloud environments.
  • CMMC Registered Practitioner (RP) or CCP, CCA.
  • Prior experience supporting the Defense Industrial Base (DIB).

What we offer:

  • Starting base range: $100,000 - $125,000, commensurate with experience.

  • Competitive benefits: Benefits package supporting health, wellness, and work-life balance.

  • Career Growth: Strong upward mobility for career development in a high-growth environment.

  • Flexible Work Environment: Opportunity for hybrid or remote work.

  • Inclusive Culture: A casual, friendly, and relaxed work environment promoting diversity and professional growth

OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026
Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
